Gorillas! Independent Theater
My Dinner With André

We shot a new video piece today with our good friend and new Gorilla, Corey Ring. He spends most of it yelling at a bottle of André champagne. We’ve got some great outtakes which will try to edit into a B Reel as soon as possible, but you’ll have to wait until January 28 to see the final cut of the real deal as we premiere it before Cheap, Terrible Champagne at Corktown Cinema.

Update!

We’re a little behind schedule here at HQ, but we’ve finally finished up the cast and with rehearsals starting this weekend, you can expect to go ape on Saturday November 19 @ 2pm over at the Packard. Here’s our cast!

Mortimer: Ian Clark
Diane: Jessica VanAssche
Joshua: Geoffrey LaRue
Rhonda: Kati Lapham

Announcing Gorillas! Independent Theater, a performance troupe that finds its home in nooks and crannies across the city of Detroit. A Kickstarter program will go live after our first test-production which is to be made on a budget of pocket lint. Speaking of which, our first production will be The Cheap and Terrible Champagne Play, written by Geoffrey LaRue (and workshopped at Hamtramck’s Planet Ant Theater) which will be performed at the abandoned Packard Plant at a TBD date in October. Cast list coming soon.
Gorillas! asks the question: How well can actors act when they’re drunk?
